7. Avoid putting CAPTCHAS in your form:

But…

Lead capture form should be present in the home page and not in sub-folder pages. It is a very effective way to capture conversions.
I quiet disagree with the point to exclude captcha from form. captcha is very much essential to distinguish humans with robots. Very much helpful in fighting spam and prevent bots which are specifically designed to fill signup forms.
To make visitors fill long forms, progressive forms are very helpful, along with “non-submit” submit buttons.
